Principled Epistemology
The concept of Intellectualism, also known as 主知主義 in Japanese, is a philosophical, theological, psychological, and literary standpoint that divides the human mind (soul) into three parts: intellect/reason (knowledge), will/determination, and emotions/desires 1. In this perspective, the emphasis is placed on the functioning of intellect/reason over will and emotions. 主知主義 is often associated with Rationalism and Rational Maxi. Rationalism emphasizes the importance of reason and logic in understanding the world and acquiring knowledge. It promotes the idea that knowledge can be obtained through rational thinking and logical deductions. Rational Maxi is a term used to describe the maximum utilization of reason and rationality in decision-making and problem-solving processes.
